Desert Pointe apartment renter living with roaches wants them gone... This proves that roach exterminators are really needed in neighborhoods. Roach extermination is a regular thing that must be done and not a one time operation.

Las Vegas, NV - A college student, who moved all the way across the country to Las Vegas, has found himself living in a nightmare.

He says his apartment is full of roaches.

"There's thousands upon thousands of them," Tony Filipic says.

They're crawling on walls, on sinks, there's live ones, dead ones, and they're even stuck in the carpet.

Tony Filipic is freaking out.

"I've been calling management trying to get somebody over here at least to clean it up," he says.

Fed up Tony went and bought his own can of Raid, but these over the counter killers are no match for the infestation. Tony moved into his Villa of Desert Pointe apartment three days ago.

He say the manager claimed they didn't see any bugs before his arrival. So how do you explain the roach Tony caught on camera with his camcorder, stuck in the paint on the ceiling?

"They're caked in the paint, on the ceilings, and the walls," he says.

Crawling up her wall is just too much for Tony's neighbor, Shirly Munoz. She's packed up and moving out.

"They don't seem to want to fix anything here and its like no. I'm gone," Munoz says.

We went to the main office and spoke to the Assistant Manager, who called her manager on the phone.

"Angel went back over there this morning and bombed, so what do we do?" She says on the phone.

They didn't give us an official comment, but Tony says Angel is a maintenance man, not an exterminator. He told us after our visit Angel did set off bug bombs, but it only made it worse.

"I actually physically slept in the hallway," Tony says.

Because at least in the hallway, he's alone. Tony says when he walked in his apartment from the beginning it smelled like bug bomb. That's why he believes this is at least the second time managers have tried to kill these roaches on their own.

He says the problem won't be fixed until they call a professional exterminator to spray the entire building, not just his apartment.

Comments: Roach extermination should be done on the whole area and not only on specific rooms. More importantly, roach exterminators should find the sources of infestation so that the breeding of new pests would be stopped. The roaches exterminator to be hired must thoroughly check the building and also the buildings and homes that are adjacent.
